"We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us"

While living in the US I met people from all over the world. I made unbreakable friendships and memories that I'll cherish forever. There is one thing that we all had in common: we had left our home countries, our families and friends. We had left behind everything that makes us feel safe.  We had stepped out of our comfort zone. We were alone in a new land and we needed each other. That is why I believe that the friendships forged at that time are so strong, because we needed a "new family". And we found it.

On the other hand there is one thing that was different for every one of us: the reason why we left. Mine can be expressed by the quote above. I believe that being able to travel and see the world is one of the reasons that makes life worth living. Traveling is living. Traveling is a way of life.

Why do you travel? What are you looking for when you go abroad? I'd love to read your thoughts on the comments below.
Enjoy the weekend,
