Hot Air Balloons - a Two Piece Outfit

This week is going to be tough, guys. It is the last one before Spring Break in Spain and that gives us teachers the heebie-jeebies. I need lots of strength to keep those teens on their seats! So if you are having a case of the Mondays like me, I hope this post will brighten your day a little bit.

I love two piece outfits. I find them really feminine and therefore are totally my style. They are also incredibly versatile because you can wear them together or separately so the combination options are endless. I already professed my love for two piece outfits with this ice-cream print set that I wore countless times last summer and that I can't wait to wear again.
The top and skirt set are from French brand Des Petits Hauts. A brand I discovered randomly on a shopping spree when I moved to Madrid. It's characterized by pastel colors, pretty prints and Parisian style so you will understand I'm afflicted by a few coups de coeur every time I visit their store. In case you don't know coup de coeur is a French expression that literally means heart stroke but is used to refer to a case of love at first sight. In fact, last weekend I visited their store to try on the new collection and fell for these adorable jungle print shorts and this beautiful fruit print romper that I will show you soon on the blog.

You've already seen the cardigan on my Valentine's Day outfit post and paired with this cute pom-pom scarf. I've been wearing it non-stop this season! I wore these ankle strap shoes on my Hello Spring! post but you could barely see them. Here you can get a better look at them. I'm very indecisive when it comes to shopping but the decision of buying these shoes was a no-brainer. I don't like heels higher than these and I don't wear flats either so it's hard to find a pair like this. I love the color, the strap detail and the little mirror on the inner part of the heel.

  6. Aww, love this. So cute with a fun, feminine flair. I remember getting so antsy in school before break. The worse was before summer break though! I'm sure we all drove the teachers crazy. Hang in there!

  10. I can see why you like Des Petits Hauts! Their clothes are classy and have a great retro look to them. If I wasn't on a budget, I'd scour their looks for some style inspiration.

  14. Love the two piece set and the shoes! I recently got a similar pair of shoes in black and they're great for work. The block heel ensures that I don't get stuck in cobblestones on my way to the office, and the strap ensures that I don't slip out on accident. Great feminine look!
