Christmas is just two weeks away. Our calendars are filling quickly with holiday parties and family gatherings and that means plenty of occasions to dress up. For those of you who like dressing up as much as I do, I've put together my three favorite outfits for the holiday season. Some are new, some have already accompanied me to a few events but are still favorites of mine. As you know, I'm not a big fan of trends, so when I buy something it's because I can see myself loving and wearing it for years.
THE SEQUIN DRESS
I bought this beautiful sequin dress from Free People in Palo Alto while I was working in California as an au-pair. From the moment I saw it I knew it was going to be in my closet forever. Since then I've styled it in different ways like with a black sweater over it or with a black blazer. This year I'll be wearing it with this red blazer I got from Mango last spring (similar here). Free People still has similar sequin dresses like this one or this one.
THE TOP & SKIRT COMBO
I love skirts as much as I love dresses and a top/sweater & skirt combo is just as cute and appropriate for the holidays. Here I'm wearing this Claudie Pierlot top and sequin skirt (last seen here).
THE LBD
Last but not least is the classic little black dress. The one I'm wearing is an oldie but goodie. The embellished neckline still gets me many compliments.
What are you packing for the holidays?
If you have a blog, leave a link to your favorite outfits on the comments. I'd love to see them!
