Amazing Coffee Shops in Madrid: La Duquesita

Open for the first time in 1914, this is one of the oldest sweet shops in Madrid. It was closed for years before it reopened in 2016. The specialties of this traditional patisserie nowadays are chocolates and other baked goods. Fortunately, the refurbishing respected the elegant and majestic decor of the confectionery with its high ceilings, palatial mirrors and dreamy lamps so we can enjoy it just like in the old days.

  3. Oh, this post makes me ache! Absolutely beautiful. And, sheesh, those aren't your average 'coffee shops'! Madrid sets the bar high! And while they're all dreamy, Salon de Fleurs would have to be my first stop.

  15. Oh wow, what beautiful coffee shops! I really wish I had even one cool coffee shop near me, but we have none! Only chains like Dunkin’ Donuts and Panera. I need to move! Haha. Or open my own coffee shop. Thanks for sharing these lovely places and linking up with me.
