summer reading list

I bet that right now you are probably daydreaming about, planning or maybe even packing for your summer holidays. Whatever the case may be, don't forget to bring along a captivating novel with you. Make sure it accompanies you everywhere: on the plane, by the pool while sipping a refreshing beverage or in the countryside.
I've put together my selection of summer reads hoping to help you out with the decision. I've chosen varied fiction and non-fiction books including a thriller, a love story, a historical novel and a biography among other things.

Happy Monday sweethearts! Let's kick off the new week with a recipe perfect for hot summer days. A dish that is served cold. If you follow the blog you should know that I have a sweet tooth and that I often post cake recipes. Even though this one is also a cake, we are leaving sweet flavors aside this week. This fish cake is full of protein, healthier than meat (I'm trying to cut on meat as much as I can) and is very tasty thanks to flavorful olives.

That turn of events allowed me to explore places I hadn't been so curious about before. The City by the Bay stole my heart and I found L.A. an utter disappointment. So San Diego became my second favorite city in California. Why? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I've always loved pastel colors and I've recently developed a love for nude tones. Lately, I've added many soft pink and nude hues to my wardrobe as you can see on this previous post. Even though they are colors I really like, I tried to stay away because I thought they wouldn't be flattering considering my skin is quite pale. Finally, I decided to take the plunge and I'm quite happy with the result. Are there any colors you are not comfortable wearing?
