Thanksgiving is around the corner, so today I want to share with you my pumpkin pie recipe. I had never tried this delicious dessert before I moved to the US. However, I quickly started falling in love with all things pumpkin: pumpkin cake, pumpkin pie and every year I can't wait for fall to drink pumpkin spice latte!
Without further ado, here's the recipe.
Ingredients:
Prebaked and cooled pie crust
3 eggs
425 gr of pumpkin purée
120 ml of whipping cream
110 gr of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of ginger
1/8 teaspoon of cloves
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Directions:
- Preheat an oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Add the pumpkin, eggs, and cream and whisk to combine.
- Pour the filling into the prebaked piecrust and bake until the center is set, 60 to 65 minutes, covering the edges of the crust with aluminum foil or a piecrust shield after 30 minutes if they brown too quickly.
- Transfer the pie to a wire rack and let cool completely, at least 2 hours, before serving.
Enjoy!
